Brian Buckley
Executive Manager - Faculty ProgramsHeading into the close of his 13th year with Pearson, Brian recruits, interviews, hires, and trains Pearsons Mastering Faculty Advisors. He coordinates all faculty training with Chris Hess and develops a community for Mastering users to come together in. Brian feels that all our Faculty Advisors are genuinely terrific people to know inside and outside of their professional environment and he feeds off their passion and dedication to students success. Working with the Faculty Advisors gives Colleen a chance to "see our products in the classroom" as Faculty Advisors provide that real-life view of using a Pearson product. Colleen likes to see the enthusiasm and passion that Faculty Advisors bring to teaching and how Pearson's MyLab products help innovate. It's also amazing to hear their stories and learn how their students are learning with MyLabs. In her spare time, Colleen enjoys boating, tennis, SCUBA (which she just got certified in in July), hanging out with Stella the Dachshund at the dog park, and travelling wit her husband Juergen.

Lesly will celebrate her 10-year anniversary with Pearson this coming February. She currently works maintaining this very blog, coordinating larger events, updating information about the group's activities online, and assists with general project management for a variety of tasks related to sharing our team's resources. Lesly has really enjoyed getting to interview so many friendly and interesting Faculty Advisors for the spotlights featured on the blog. The experience has been very enriching and it's a pleasure for her to get so many opportunities to work closely with faculty. Lesly would like to believe she has spare time, but she has a 17-month-old daughter so spare time is now happily consists of playing with and chasing around her little girl. If she had any, she'd spend it reading mostly.

The newest member of our team, Amanda has been with Pearson for a little over a year. She's now the main point-of-contact for all things regarding Faculty Advisors - our primary communication liaison. She's very excited to start working with faculty and having direct communication with them. Amanda loves it when faculty share their feedback and results. Amanda's spare time is almost completely full of tennis (she's nationally ranked) and all other racquet sports, but when she's not on the court, she likes to cook, eat and travel.
Claire Masson
Program Manager for Efficacy Research
Claire has been with Pearson since 1999 and her current role on Pearson's research team is to partner with faculty who are interested in doing rigorous research into the effectiveness of a particular learning intervention. Working with a great team of statisticians, she gives advice on study designs and provides templates and checklists on data collection even analyzing the results in some cases. Claire also works tirelessly on bringing awareness to our efficacy research within the education community by publishing white papers, case studies, and success stories. Her spare time is filled with "typical" activities - spending time with friends and family, traveling, reading, hiking, and opera.

She develops and maintains the program tutorials, self-paced training courses, and live, online training sessions also conducting training and strategy workshops in person at regional and national conferences. Chris Hess
National Training Consultant - Mastering
Just joining Pearson as a consultant this summer, Chris has been working as a Faculty Advisor since 2008. He still considers himself primarily a Faculty Advisor since he's still teaching and using Mastering, but his role with Pearson has him conducting both in-person and WebEx training that helps faculty get the most out of Mastering. Chris continues to rely heavily on other Faculty Advisors for ideas because they are such a great wealth of knowledge, good ideas, and inspiration. Chris definitely uses his spare time well making and judging beer, playing rock and roll, and most recently, getting into the fine art of barbecuing with an entry-level pro smoker.
So that's the team. We love hearing from you and working with you and hope that you're enjoying this blog.
