Curious about where to watch your fellow faculty advisors’ past presentations? Looking for some inspiration for an upcoming presentation you’ve been asked to give? We’ve got your covered.
Watch any of the presentations given over the last four years at the annual Pearson Course Redesign workshop. The presenters here tell their own course redesign stories and share the data they’ve collected.
A recently added event that is growing in popularity and occurrence full-day Speaking About Course Redesign Webinars – features Faculty Advisors who share their own course redesign experiences. These webinars focus more on the issues that commonly arise when instituting a redesign such as building a multi-faceted team, getting buy-in from peers and administrators; organizing content; developing common assessments; and tracking student pass rate results. Presenters share what choices they made and why when it came to redesign.
Typically, both workshop presentations and webinars follow the same basic path: presenters identify the problem(s) they were trying to solve through redesign, then describe the method used to address those specific problems, and finally they present their student results – both qualitative and quantitative.
Each one of us is wonderful role model when it comes to incorporating MyLab and Mastering products into your course! The presentations cited above represent just a few examples of the amazing work you do all year long. We hope you enjoy watching what your colleagues are up to as well.
What is your favorite aspect of presenting to a group of faculty as a Pearson Faculty Advisor?
