Densmore’s success with MyMathLab led her to Pearson’s Faculty Advisor program which she sees as an opportunity to connect with other faculty. “I enjoy meeting faculty from across the country and sharing the excitement of new users of MyMathLab.” The lasting friendships created through this peer-to-peer connection that being a Faculty Advisor provides, is yet another perk of being in the program. Densmore enjoys the, “friendships that have developed with other faculty, authors, and Pearson employees.”
Being a seasoned Faculty Advisor who’s frequently featured on panels and at workshops, Densmore shares advice for those newly joining Pearson’s Faculty Advisor program. Start locally with faculty at your own school and those close by to “hone your training techniques” and attend as many workshops and conferences to learn how other MyMathLab users are making the technology work for them. “Be sure to let your local [Pearson] rep know you are a Faculty Advisor and you are available to assist them with training in their region” and become familiar with new MyMathLab features as they come out. Learning to share the effectiveness of MyMathLab is one of Densmore’s key ingredients to becoming a successful Pearson Faculty Advisor.
